Quest 705 takes place in Enchanted Dominion.

Story summary

The Player defeats the Heartless. Spurred on by Maleficent, Aurora touches a spindle and falls into a deep sleep. The fairies decide to put the entire kingdom to sleep until she awakes. With nothing more to do, The Player heads back to Daybreak Town.

Script

After quest

[The Player vanquishes the Heartless and hurries on. Aurora follows the green light into a room, where the light transforms into a spindle. The fairies rush past The Player.]

  • ???: "Rose! Don't touch anything! You mustn't!"

[Maleficent appears.]

  • Maleficent: "Touch the spindle."
  • Maleficent: "Touch it, I say!"

[Aurora touches the spindle, just as the fairies and The Player enter the room.]

  • Flora, Fauna, & Merryweather: "Oh!"
  • Maleficent: "You poor simple fools. Thinking you could defeat me, the Mistress of All Evil! Well, here's your precious princess!"

[Aurora lies on the ground.]

  • Maleficent: "Ah-ha-ha-ha!"

[Maleficent disappears.]

  • Merryweather: "Rose!"
  • Fauna: "Rose!"
  • Flora: "Oh, Rose! I'll never forgive myself."
  • Fauna: "We're all to blame..."

[The fairies have moved Aurora to her bed.]

  • Fauna: "Poor King Stefan and the Queen."
  • Merryweather: "They'll be heartbroken when they find out."
  • Flora: "They're not going to."
  • Flora: "We'll put them ALL to sleep... until Rose awakens."
  • Flora: "Thank you for all you've done, dear. Now, you'd best leave the castle; there's nothing more to be done here."
  • Flora: "Come along."

[The fairies turn into glowing lights and fly away. When The Player checks on Aurora, Chirithy appears.]

  • Chirithy: "I know you're disappointed. But I can still sense her light."
  • Chirithy: "She may be asleep, but her heart isn't."
  • Chirithy: "But... There's nothing we can do for her. Not right now."
  • Chirithy: "We'll come back to help her, okay?"

[The Player summons a corridor and leaves.]
