Quest 965 takes place in Candy Kingdom.

Story summary Edit

While Vanellope races, The Player, Ralph, and Calhoun fight the swarm of cy-bugs.

Meanwhile, Lauriam overhears Brain talking to Ephemer and Skuld about what happened to Strelitzia, and tries to force the whole story out of him. Ventus enters the room and confesses, causing Lauriam to attack him. When Ventus collapses, Darkness appears from him.

Script Edit

Before quest

[Having defeated the last of the cy-bugs, Ralph checks the scoreboard where Vanellope is gaining on King Candy.] [A big cy-bug grabs the finish line.]

  • Calhoun: "Another one of these? I thought we'd seen the last of 'em."

[The cy-bug lands to attack The Player, Ralph, and Calhoun.]

After quest

[Ephemer, Skuld, and Brain are in the Clock Tower.]

  • Skuld: "So..."
  • Skuld: "If darkness IS behind this whole thing, it must be close by. But why hasn't it tried to harm us? What does it want?"
  • Ephemer: "Do you think it's watching us? Waiting to make a move?"
  • Brain: "I don't know. I'm not even sure that it IS responsible for all this. But it's the only theory that makes sense. If I'm right, and it's close, it knows we're onto it. It could be putting its plan into action as we speak."
  • Ephemer: "So it might come for us?"
  • Brain: "Yeah. Like it did for Lauriam's sister."
  • Skuld: "Is that what happened to her? But why?"
  • Brain: "I don't know why it targeted Strelitzia. I just—"
  • ???: "What...did you say?"

[Lauriam enters the room, and collapses from the pain.]

  • Skuld: "Lauriam!"
  • Ephemer: "Lauriam, what happened?"
  • Lauriam: ""Targeted" for what? What did you mean by that?"

[Lauriam slowly makes his way over to Brain.]

  • Brain: "..."

[Lauriam grabs Brain by his shirt.]

  • Lauriam: "What happened to her!? Answer me!"

[Ephemer tries to intervene.]

  • Ephemer: "Stop!"
  • Lauriam: "Get off me!"

[Lauriam knocks Ephemer away.]

  • Skuld: "Ephemer!"
  • Brain: "So THIS is the plan. Clever."
  • Lauriam: "What plan?"
  • Brain: "Darkness's plan. Fear, doubt, anger... It's purposely messing with our hearts and making us turn on each other."

[Skuld tries to intervene.]

  • Skuld: "Lauriam, please!"

[Lauriam lets go of Brain.]

  • Lauriam: "I don't understand..."
  • Skuld: "Please. Just listen."
  • Lauriam: "Tell me what happened to my sister..."

[Ventus walks into the room.]

  • Ventus: "I... It's my fault."
  • Skuld: "Ven? What are you—"
  • Lauriam: "Explain yourself, Ven."
  • Ventus: "I'm sorry, Lauriam... I'm responsible for what happened to her."
  • Ephemer: "Ven, don't!"
  • Skuld: "That's not true!"

[Lauriam slowly makes his way over to Ventus.]

  • Lauriam: "Ven."
  • Lauriam: "What did you do to Strelitzia?"

[Lauriam grabs Ventus by his shirt.]

  • Ventus: "*groan*"
  • Skuld: "Ven!"
  • Ephemer: "Lauriam, stop!"

[Lauriam pulls Ventus closer.]

  • Lauriam: "Ven. Answer me."
  • Ventus: "*groan*"

[Brain tries to pull Lauriam away.]

  • Brain: "Stop it! This isn't you."
  • Lauriam: "Stay out of this!"

[Lauriam knocks Brain away, and summons his Keyblade to strike Ventus. But Ephemer blocks the attack with his own Keyblade.]

  • Lauriam: "Answer me!"
  • Ventus: "*scream*"
  • Ventus: "It... It wasn't me... It wasn't me!"

[A shadowy aura appears from Ventus.]

  • Ephemer: "What is that?"
  • Skuld: "A monster!?"
  • Lauriam: "What's going on?"
  • Brain: "I see. You're darkness."
  • Darkness: "Finally. It's about time."
