A Special Attack (アビリティ Abiriti?, lit. "Ability") is an attack attached to each Medal that requires a certain number of Special Attack gauges to use. When the player has enough gauges, these Special Attacks can be unleashed by swiping the Medal toward the center of the screen. Special Attacks can be single-target, all-target, or random-target.

The number of hits dealt by Special Attacks tends to increase as the Medal increases in rarity. For example, Yuna's Special Attack has one hit at 1★ and 2★, two hits at 3★, 4★ and 5★, and three hits at 6★. As of Version 2.3.1, the 1★-4★ Special Attacks have been changed to match the 5★ Special Attack.

The damage for a Medal's Special Attack is determined by a damage multiplier attached to each Medal. This multiplier can be increased by combining two of the same Medal of the same rarity to fill in one dot. A Medal's Special Attack damage multiplier can be further increased through unlocking and maxing the Medal's Special Attack Bonus. Some Special Attacks which are of the "Power Up" type have a multiplier range, and increase in power if certain requirements are met. For example, Sonic Blade inflicts more damage to sleeping targets, and Zantetsuken inflicts more damage the lower the player's HP.
